As part of the project, 1,000 city buses, 20 metro trains, and 5,000 taxies were branded, 25 trams were decorated with LED lights, and 7 Rostransnadzor’s cars were pasted over.
To create a festive atmosphere in transport, New Year’s audio greetings from famous artists, and will be launched in the Moscow Metro. Vera Brezhneva, Basta, Renata Litvinova, Leonid Agutin, Angelika Varum, Alexander Rosenbaum, Anton Belyaev, Nadezhda Babkina, Vladimir Presnyakov, Dmitry Malikov, Yulia Sivert, Sergey Mazaev, Oleg Gazmanov, and Vladimir Kristovsky will congratulate passengers on the New Year.
Also festive trees were installed in major transportat hubs, such as the Kiev Railway Station, on Sukharevskaya square, at the Belarus Railway Station, on the square of the MCC Luzhniki and others.
Each New Year tree was opened with a separate festive activities. For example, on December 24, 2019, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin officially lit the lights on a Christmas tree installed on the square of the Kiev Railway Station. The event was timed to coincide with the launch of the three-hundredth electric bus of the Moscow transport.
Leonid Antonov, General Director of Mosgortrans, and Sergey Kogotin, General Director of KAMAZ, took part in the celebration on the reconstructed square together with the Deputy Mayor of Moscow Maxim Liksutov.
During the event, Father Frost (Russian Santa Claus) and Snow Maiden presented memorable gifts to the participants, and guests were treated with tea from samovars with bread rings.
Among other things, a New Year tree with the symbols of Moscow transport was installed in GUM. The main feature of the tree is that it is decorated with a railway garland with 3D models of Ivolga and Moskva trains, as well as Moscow e-bus .
